Getting started on Sorare

Are you ready to dive into the world of fantasy football with Sorare? Here’s a simple step-by-step guide that will help you sign up, claim your free starter cards, buy your first player cards, and compete in your first tournament.

Step 1: Sign up for your Sorare account

  • Go to the Sorare website.

  • Click Sign Up.

  • You can register using your email, Google, or Apple account.

  • Complete the onboarding prompts and verify your email address.

Sounds easy? Don’t worry, it doesn’t get much more complicated.

Step 2: Start playing with your first free cards

  • After registration, Sorare will guide you through a brief onboarding process.

  • Just follow the steps on the website. Every new user will get a quick overview of Sorare’s competition structure and how the different competitions work.

  • You’ll also have the chance to get Common cards for free. These are digital football player cards that can’t be sold on the market, but you can use them to compete in your first tournaments.

Step 3: Buy your first player cards

  • Navigate to the Market tab.

  • Browse the marketplace for player cards (Limited, Rare, Super Rare or Unique).

  • You can filter by player, team, rarity, or price.

  • To buy a card, click on it and use your wallet to pay (Sorare accepts credit/debit cards and the cryptocurrency ETH).

  • Follow the checkout steps to complete your purchase.

Step 4: Build your team and enter a competition

  • Go to the Play or Tournaments section.

  • Select a competition that matches the cards in your collection (e.g., “U23,” “All Star”).

  • Assemble a squad by selecting eligible cards from your own gallery for each position.

  • Confirm your lineup and enter the competition.

Step 5: Track your performance & improve

  • Once the real-world matches begin, your cards will score points based on their players’ real-life performances and Sorare’s scoring matrix.

  • Check the leaderboard for your competition.

  • Earn rewards for strong finishes—these can include new player cards or even cash prizes.

With these steps, you’ll be set up and playing fast, ready to experience real ownership and the excitement of the global fantasy football community on Sorare.
