Rivals Squads on Sorare – team up with your friends
Sorare Rivals has been a popular addition to the game from the start. If you like fantasy football and you want to try out Sorare, it's the perfect choice. (It's free to register, and here's everything you need to know before you start to play.)
Rivals is great if you want to play for yourself. But you can also play as a team – and that's called Rivals Squads.
You can create your own squad or join another one. Every squad can have up to 10 members and will start in Division 10. The overall standing is determined by adding up the weekly reputation of the best five members. If that score is high enough, your squad will be promoted to Division 9 and so on.
If you like Rivals and Rivals Squads and you would like to buy your first cards on Sorare, you should also subscribe to our newsletter. You’ll get a lot of news around the game and updates from the big community straight to your inbox once a week.
It's important Rivals Squads is not a different game. You're still playing the same Rivals games as before, and you still collect reputation to advance in the leaderboards. The squad just adds some peer pressure. You may not be bothered about a match day that only includes leagues in Asia or South America – but you're still playing because it's good for the squad.
So what's in it for you?
The rewards
Just like in the individual Rivals game, squads are promoted or relegated every Tuesday according to their performance. The higher your squad advances in the divisions, the better the potential rewards.
But there's more: The best five squad members will get individual rewards – and the highest-ranking squad member will obviously earn the top prize. That means you'll have a chance to earn some nice rewards for your efforts.
Good to know
Some details are useful to know before playing Rivals Squads. First of all, managers can only be in one squad at a time. (That was pretty obvious; footballers can't play for two teams either.)
Everybody who has reached Division 9 can create a squad. They can be public, meaning that anybody can join until the squad has reached 10 members. Alternatively, you can create invite-only squads for your friends.
