The transfer market on Sorare
Once you know enough about the leagues and divisions and have thought a bit about your possible lineups, you need to have a look at the transfer market. First, you need to buy player cards on Sorare to be able to compete in game weeks. It's important to note that any collectible card you purchase on the transfer market can also be sold again.
Buying Players
When you want to buy collectible cards, you have two options. You can either bid on new cards in auctions or buy cards from other managers.
Auctions
In auctions, new cards are auctioned off by Sorare. The highest bid wins at the end of the auction period. However, if you place a bid within the last minute, the remaining time is reset to one minute.
During this time, other managers have a chance to place higher bids. If the auction ends and you have the highest bid, the card is automatically transferred to your gallery.
Manager Sales
In the manager sales market, you will find all the collectible cards other managers are offering for sale. You can buy these cards immediately at the listed price, and the card will be added directly to your gallery.
Alternatively, you can offer a lower price and wait to see if the seller accepts your offer. If another player buys the card in the meantime, your offer is automatically deleted.
Regardless of how you purchase a card, it becomes your property after the purchase. Clicking on the card provides various information about the player, the current owner, and the transfer history of the card.
Selling Players
Once you have bought a card, you can also sell it. You just need to click on the respective card and set the desired selling price. Additionally, you can set a minimum acceptable offer.
Once you start the sale, the player is listed on the market for the duration you specify. If the card is not sold within this time, it remains in your gallery.
If you offer a card on the transfer market which is part of a current lineup, that lineup will be deleted. Therefore, you should make sure to sell cards only when the player is not currently in any of your lineups.
